Assistant Professors Latiolais and Young Receive National Architecture Awards

Two SOAD faculty members were recently recognized by American Institute of Architects for their contributions to the profession.

Assistant Professor Ashlie Latiolais has been awarded a 2019 AIA Young Architects Award in recognition of her talent as an emerging practitioner. She is one of 22 architects from across the nation to receive this award. The AIA Young Architects Award honors individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and made significant contributions to the architecture profession early in their careers.

Assistant Professor Sarah Young has been awarded a 2019 AIA Associates Award, which is is given to individual Associate AIA members to recognize outstanding leaders and creative thinkers for significant contributions to their communities and the architecture profession. She is one of 4 Associate AIA members to receive this award nationally.

Both Latiolais and Young are University of Louisiana at Lafayette School of Architecture and Design graduates.
