UL NOMAS participates in Eskew+Dumez+Ripple's MLK Day of Service

Members of the UL chapter of NOMAS participated in Eskew+Dumez+Ripple’s MLK Day of Service on January 21, 2019. This year was the first year EDR sought student participation in their annual Day of Service workshops, the invitation extended to all of the active NOMAS and AIAS chapters in the state.

The four students selected to represent UL SOAD, David Allen, Quoc Dang, Mark Jones, and Taiisia Kolisnyk, are some of the brightest stars in the department of architecture:

These hardworking students got the chance to work with architects, designers, community professionals, and other architecture students on some important work benefitting EDR's New Orleans community partners. It was a valuable opportunity and experience for these students; they represented the schools well.

This year, the EDR MLK Day of Service ends with the projects presentations and the opening of the exhibit titled: Architecture = Everyone, which will feature the 5-year anniversary of the DoS program and the projects developed so far. The presentation and exhibit will be held at the Shop at the CAC and the AIA Center for Design From 4:30pm-8pm on Friday, Feb. 1st.  EDR welcomes all to attend these events.
