UL Professor Brian Powell was elected to the presidency of the Interior Design Educators Council Foundation at the IDEC annual conference in New Orleans this March. Professor Powell current serves as IDEC Foundation Director and his three year term as IDEC Foundation President begins May 1st of this year.

The IDEC Foundation is a not-for-profit organization whose primary goal is to support the objectives of the Interior Design Educators Council and to advance the profession by supporting educational, research, and creative opportunities for educators and students.

The mission of the Interior Design Educators Council Foundation Inc. is to support the advancement of interior design education and scholarship through the development, management, and distribution of resources.
