2019 Design Discovery Summer Program

Sunday, June 17, 2018 (All day) to Friday, June 22, 2018 (All day)

So you’re thinking about becoming a designer? Whether it’s Architecture, Industrial, or Interior design, the UL Lafayette’s School of Architecture and Design, Design Discovery summer program offers High School students an introduction to the design professions. Our one week program allows you be immersed in a college experience that includes on-campus dorm rooms, meals, field trips to professional design firms, lectures, and hands-on projects introducing you to the world of design. By immersing you in design and having you engage with faculty and current undergraduate and graduate students, our goal is to instill you with the confidence to pursue your design education.

This enrichment program offers perspective design students an opportunity to actively engage in real college experience. The program is the first step to allow students to explore potential future careers by providing a glimpse into the academic expectations in a college setting. The program will run for one week. Students will have the option for an on campus living experience or a day camp experience.
