Chicago Through My Eyes

Wednesday, October 26, 2016 - 12:00am to 1:00am

As we learn about architecture in the classroom from our incredibly knowledgeable professors, we can only absorb so much. Experiencing great architecture is not only fundamental to a young architect’s education but it’s also inspiring and moving to be in its grand presence. Chicago is without a doubt America’s Architecture Capital, so follow me on my journey this summer through the White City, from past to present; from Burnham and Root, Louis Sullivan, Frank Lloyd Wright, Mies Van der Rohe and other masters, to our present day Contemporary Architects alike. Explore with me a city so rich in history, disaster, and magic, that hopefully you too will become inspired to visit and explore.  Made possible by James Garland AIA, founding principle of Fluidity Design Consultants and Alumni of University of Louisiana Lafayette.
